I have these two friends who've helped me a lot over the past several years. And they both have jobs that have them dealing with literal "nightmare fuel" on a daily basis. So, as a gesture of gratitude, I created this; the title is actually the musical direction for playback for the listener: "very softly, for sleeping". It's very much intended for nights when one's mind will not shut off from all of the chaos of the day, so if you find yourself facing that sort of situation, this might be something you'll find enjoyable and even useful.

While a single playback of the work is around 76 minutes in length, the intended use is as a "portable installation". This means that the work can play for an indefinite period of time as a loop. If your player has the ability to crossfade the ending and beginning of a looping track, please set the crossfade period to 60 seconds for optimal continuous playback. You will also likely find that this piece is suitable for many background environment situations where a liminal-volume sound would fit to enhance the sonic character of a given space. I do not recommend listening to this work while driving or operating machinery.
